Six figure sum achieved as a result of a fall from a ladder at work
Anna Guest, a personal injury solicitor at Atha & Co, acted for Mr D in respect of his no win no fee claim.
Mr D, was working installing a window outside a property. He was given a ladder to carry out this job.
However, the ladder gave way from underneath him and he fell with the ladder to the floor. He had no recollection of the circumstances leading up to the accident. He sustained a broken foot in three places and split the ball of his ankle away from his heel. He was advised he required a bone graft and ankle fusion which necessitated being off work for 12 months. He also suffered cracks and bleed on the brain, had issues with dizzy spells and still has a problem with his memory.
Mr D`s employers denied liability and Court proceedings were issued. A successful outcome was achieved.
Mr D has now recovered from his injuries and received a six figure sum in compensation.
